Our Rooms with 1 bed
Our rooms with one bed are approximately 14'x17' and offer a ceramic tile bathroom with a walk-in shower, our lower section was built in two stages, the courtyard area was built in the late 1940's by I.B. Baker who was the original owner. Rooms 1-10 were built in 1953 as the business grew. You can rent these for $45.00-$60.00 pending on the time of the year. -
Our Rooms with 2 beds
Our rooms with 2 beds were added in two stages also, the first being built in 1953, Rooms 39-42 and the back section pictured was built in 1963 when the interstate was built. These rooms are the largest around and even the large families have plenty of space. Additionally these rooms offer full baths and a room size of about 15'x27'. You can rent these rooms for $60.00 - $85.00 depending on the time of year. -
The Zane Grey Museum
Located across the street from the motel was built in the 1960's when I.B. Baker gave the state the land to build the museum and put an exit in for Norwich, Ohio. With exit 164 off I-70 in place the motel's future was secured. Baker's Motel has become a landmark property that is family owned and operated by the same owners for over 20 years.

At Baker's Motel we offer you a beautiful era motel, our rooms offer an era feel, they are very clean and comfortable and if you are staying awhile bring a grill as you can cook outside here. No other motel in Muskingum County offers a beautiful country atmosphere and rooms with 2 beds as large as ours. None of the chains even come close!- Most rooms offer a Fridge and Microwave oven, please ask when making a reservation.
- Wireless internet is available in all rooms, unlike most chains where access is limited to the office area and room access is extremely limited or void altogether.
- Over 6 acres off beautiful lawn to walk the dog on or grill out if you stay awhile, again none of the chains even allow you to grill out.
- You can sit outside anywhere on the property and surf the net with high speed internet. Stream movies from Netflix or chat with family and friends using skype.
- Are you in business, when your company stays with us we will provide your company a link to you business website for free.
- Of course coffee is always free in the office.
- We have been adding new furniture to our period rooms which all history buff's love, our rooms are very well maintained and we continue to update amenities. Not only are they clean and comfortable but they offer queen size beds, wireless internet access and more.
- Muskingum University is just minutes away in New Concord, we are only 4 miles from the entrance.
- The National Road Zane Grey Museum is just across the street, you can walk to it.
